A Fairy Tale Wedding Station House Hotel
Cara arrived fashionably late to the anxiously waiting groom down the aisle at St. Mark's Church, a place close to their hearts. As she walked down, the soothing melody of "Blessings" by Hollow Coves, played by Aaron's childhood friend John, filled the air. John also led them and their chosen friends in worship songs that held special meaning to them. The ceremony was a beautiful reflection of their love for each other and their devotion to God. Heartwarming readings from Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 and Colossians 3:12-17 were shared by Aaron's Aunt and Cara's Granny. They exchanged heartfelt vows they had written, along with traditional vows, before signing the green book.
The enchanting fairylight-lit tree walk in the Station House, evoking a whimsical atmosphere, stole their hearts from the very first step they took on it. Their guests were exceptionally cared for while the couple took their photos and cherished a much-needed moment of tranquility. As the guests were called to dinner, heartfelt speeches were delivered in the Carriage suite, adorned with stunning chandeliers and accentuated by stone walls adorned with fresh eucalyptus and foliage. Each table was named after different tree species, reflecting Cara's love for nature and Aaron's passion for biology, with Latin names. As the evening grew darker, the couple invited their guests outside to the turntable, a relic from the venue's past as an operational train station. They danced in a circle to "La Vie en Rose," the very song they first danced to together in Cara's kitchen. The night continued with vibrant celebrations, fueled by the fantastic energy of the Arthur Cover Band.
The photographers were a bubbly and fun couple, who were as excited to be there as we were. They were very professional and willing to work with us to capture the vision we had for our special day. Their fun and friendly outlook helped us to relax and enjoy the experience. The soft smiles we had planned for, turned into genuine laughter and big beaming smiles. Their candid approach felt natural and captured moments that might have been lost otherwise.
As advice for other couples, Aaron and Cara emphasize the importance of taking time to relax and spend quality moments together away from the wedding planning stress. While the wedding day is significant, it's essential to remember that there is life beyond it. Building the wedding together, discussing dreams, plans, and visions, can make the experience more enjoyable and fulfilling. Consider incorporating DIY elements or involving friends and family, as it adds a personal touch and creates a sense of accomplishment on the big day. Above all, they encourage couples to savor every single moment, as the day passes by swiftly. Breathe, relax, and have fun, for this is a celebration meant to be treasured.
